Provide 100% Protection for Mine Waste Containment
Neoloy® Geocells provide reliable long-term protection of geoliners in mine tailings storage facilities, slurry pits & sludge containment ponds
Neoloy Geocells combined with geomembranes create impermeable, non-slip and durable impoundment for mining waste liquids, leachate, slurry, sludge or tailings.
The Neoloy Geocells protect geomembranes and geoliners while stabilizing mining waste containment and treatment ponds. Neoloy holds slope infill material in place and prevents mass movement by providing tensile reinforcement. Typically filled with concrete, Neoloy shields the liners from natural, accidental or intentional damage.
Neoloy Geocells are also used for ground stabilization of the containment pond beds. They increase the bearing capacity and limit differential settlements that can stretch and damage the liners. (See a case study here.)
Mining and energy concerns in Canada and around the world have used Neoloy Geocells for safe and reliable environmental protection and waste management. See a case study here and a published paper validating the solution here.
The durable Neoloy novel polymeric alloy (NPA) is highly resistant to liquids, chemicals, UV, oxidation and extreme temperatures for reliable long-term impoundment.
